TWN4 Family (HF and LF)
- Elatec's TWN4 MultiTech is a contactless RFID reader/writer and a direct enhancement of the TWN3 with the same mechanical dimensions (OEM PCB and Desktop Housing). The TWN4 MultiTech family unit of transponder readers and writers allows users to read and write to almost whatsoever 125 kHz / 134.2 kHz and 13.56 MHz tags and/or labels. TWN4 MultiTech too supports all major transponders from various suppliers like ATMEL, EM, ST, NXP, TI, HID, LEGIC, and ISO standards similar ISO14443A (T=CL ), ISO14443B (T=CL), ISO15693, ISO18092 / ECMA-340 (NFC).
Cardinal features of the TWN4 MultiTech include a powerful SDK for writing Apps which are executed straight on the reader, infield upgradeable firmware, direct chip-commands support, and additional interfaces for the OEM PCB version. TWN4 MultiTech simultaneously reads more than fifty RFID technologies from both the low frequency (LF) and loftier frequency (HF) bands, including NFC. This provides the option to select as many of the technologies required instead of being forced to select just a few like virtually other readers.
In improver, TWN4 MultiTech can likewise exist used as a diagnostic tool by installing the bill of fare analyzer application called TechTracer. It now becomes capable of identifying the bill of fare type, data length, and unique identification number. This eliminates the requirement to physically send cards off-site for identification while potentially saving weeks of waiting for the diagnosis. Analyzing the card in front end of the finish customer demonstrates that the menu can be read, which is normally a requirement of a proof-of-concept.

- The TWN4 MultiTech 2 BLE reader is an all-in-one proximity reader for the following frequencies: 125 kHz, 134.2 kHz, 13.56 MHz, NFC and Bluetooth Depression Energy. Information technology tin can be connected through UART (TTL, RS232), USB, also as Ethernet, and is available as a PCB and with Desktop housing.
TWN4 MultiTech ii BLE is as well uniform with over 50 of the most common RFID technologies currently being used around the world. Furthermore, in guild to expand the realm of supported contactless identification methods, the all-in-one reader besides supports NFC and Bluetooth Depression Energy. It is uniform with the two most unremarkably used smartphone operating systems - Android and iOS. Thus it can also be integrated in mobile identification applications.
In addition, TWN4 MultiTech 2 BLE is flexibly programmable – when communicating with RFID transponders it can brand automated decisions based on predefined rules. This type of configuration can hands be re-practical to other card readers by using a contactless configuration bill of fare, which considerably reduces installation times in large projects.

Multi-frequency RFID modules without antenna
- Our multi-frequency RFID modules are designed for integration into machines or other devices. They are offered in various sizes and can be connected to external antennas through cables or printed circuit boards. Depending on the machine size this can exist an important space saving feature. Merely similar our standard TWN4 MultiTech readers, these modules back up all electric current RFID technologies from LF and HF including NFC. They are highly customizable and their behavior can be automatic depending on various criteria.
For specific details please check out the corresponding data sheets. -
Core modules (LF and HF)
- Our core modules are the foundation of our all-in-one RFID readers thus utilizing the total functionality of our TWN Applied science. In order to offer greater flexibility and security, they can be mounted at a random identify in a given automobile (due east.thousand. bottom of a multi-functional printer) while their antennas can be connected via a cable and situated at a unlike place in guild to permit more convenient identification for users (e.g. ID concluding on the side of a printer). This gives hardware integrators the liberty to optimally employ any remaining empty spaces in their machines and adhere antennas of their pick. Furthermore they tin can communicate through various interfaces like USB, RS232, Serial, I²C, SPI, Clock/Data, Wiegand and 1-Wire.
For further information please check out the respective information sheets. -
Nano modules (LF and/or HF)
- The TWN4 MultiTech Nano RFID modules are also fully TWN engineering compliant RFID readers. Their miniature size and low energy consumption allows for integration in smaller battery powered consumer devices like tablet PCs, POS terminals, mobile payment systems, etc. Furthermore their components are mounted to only ane side, which facilitates an easy placement on the main circuit board. In order to exam the functionality of all supported interfaces (e.g. OMRON, RS485/422 etc.) and to develop custom reader applications, we besides offer a evolution board likewise as an I/O extender for the TWN4 MultiTech Nano modules.
For further data please check out the corresponding data sheets. -
Single-frequency RFID modules without antenna
- Our single-frequency RFID modules are suitable for integration in simpler cost effective solutions. They support multiple RFID technologies in either high or low frequency RFID. They have several configurable input/output ports, beepers and different sleep modes for lowest power consumption. A unproblematic ASCII or binary protocol enables quick software evolution cycles. All host communication is done via serial TTL interface. Due to their small size and with all components mounted to merely ane side, an like shooting fish in a barrel placement on the main circuit board is guaranteed.
-
TCP Converters
-
- The main purpose of the TCP converters is to enable RFID authentication on older printers (single function printers). They can be connected on i terminate to a Local Expanse Network (LAN) and on the other end to a RFID reader via RS232 or USB cable. If a person swipes a card over the reader, the information is sent over the network to a local print server and depending on the response a print job can exist released. Every bit a result the purchase of an expensive Multi Functional Printer (MFP) can exist completely omitted.

RFID Technology Detection
- The TechTracer Lite /Kit is a meaty solution enabling on-site identification of the most common LF and HF RFID technologies in use worldwide.
On demand demonstrations or identification of RFID transponder technologies are easily accomplished by presenting client RFID cards to the reader which then displays details of the RFID technology in use on a PC.

- The TWN4 CONFIG Programmer is a kit which contains an RFID author, special contactless TWN4 Configuration Cards and an App. Projection specific reader settings are configured in the App and then encoded onto the TWN4 Configuration Cards. When the programmed Configuration Bill of fare is swiped over a reader, it adopts the new settings.
The TWN4 readers inherently support over sixty RFID technologies in the 125 kHz, 134.2 kHz and xiii.56 MHz frequency ranges. The TWN4 Configuration Bill of fare configures a device to read only sure technologies or frequencies. Its greatest advantage is that it tin also be used to (re)program large numbers of proximity readers via air interface without disassembling the device or connecting it to a computer. This significantly reduces the configuration endeavour required for large-scale projects.
Security and traceability
Detailed information virtually the setup on the configuration menu and the project associated with it tin can be accessed only by the individual who programmed the menu. No access is provided to any project-specific confidential information. Furthermore, the reader'southward ability to be configured past simply reading configuration cards does not interfere with critical applications. For additional security, subsequent programming attempts can be password protected.Order codes:
